The winner based in the Parma province

 The Italian company from Salsomaggiore has been confirmed as best-in-class for the management of diabetes and chronic pain. For the second year, the company received the Felix Award with the Highest honor for its financial results and reliability in the category of Under 40 companies.

 

Bologna, 12 February 2020 – High business performance is combined with financial reliability and sustainability. Here are the 52 companies of Emilia Romagna, Marche and Umbria awarded the Industria Felix Highest Honor for their financial results.

“For five consecutive years our region has been the fastest growing company in Italy - specifies the Governor of Emilia Romagna Stefano Bonaccini who attended the award ceremony we want Emilia Romagna to be the benchmark among the most advanced regions of Europe and globally. We want to work with humility combined with stubbornness and determination ».

 

And it was indeed in the province of Parma that the Felix Award went to the best under-40 company for business performance and financial reliability in the Parma province.

Theras Lifetech, headquartered in Salsomaggiore, is a leader in the research and marketing of cutting-edge technologies for the continuous treatment and monitoring of diabetes (80% of the business) and for the management of chronic pain (20%).

It was certainly challenging to achieve the results that earned us the award last year, and it is going to be even more complex this year. To maintain such a high performance the company must be perfectly aligned in all its different parts, from the products to the people - explains Federico FERRARI, COO of Theras Lifetech who received the Award - We have strengthened our focus and raised the bar further for 2020, both in terms of results and new products, ensuring sustainability for the health system and usability for the end user".

 

The reasons for the Award

Theras Lifetech was chosen among the Italian  best-in-class for Emilia Romagna, Marche and Umbria by the Jury summoned at LUISS Guido Carli University. The motivation of the Felix Industry Award reads - “the company receives the Felix Award as the best Under 40 company in terms of financial results and reliability "

+ 100% growth

Theras Lifetech closed 2019 with a turnover of almost 65 million euro with a 100% increase over the 32 million euro of the previous year.

The staff

 It is made up of about 70 people including employees and external collaborators, half of them engaged throughout the country to provide technical support to health facilities, doctors and patients, with an assistance service active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Partnerships

Theras Lifetech boasts commercial partnerships with sector-leading American companies. These are Dexcom and Insulet (which Forbes ranks second and fourth among innovative companies with the best growth) and Nevro, an American company that has patented an exclusive therapy for the treatment of chronic pain. Furthermore, Theras Lifetech collaborates with over 100 hospitals and specialist clinics throughout Italy.

Research

At the moment Theras Lifetech is involved in 8 ongoing research projects. The company invests a big share of its turnover every year in Research and Development and in Basic Science Research. The biotechnological project which is bound to revolutionize the treatment of post-operative pain called NanoPain has reached its final phase. Through nanotechnologies it will be possible to eliminate most of the pain caused by surgery.
